3rd Line Support - Server, Windows, Exchange, Citrix, VM Ware, cluster, AD, SAN - 48k - London
My client an expanding leading online company are seeking to recruit an experienced 3rd line support Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for many infrastructure projects working with the latest technology. The datacenter is outsourced to a managed services company therefore you will be responsible for managing the projects/servcies provided by them and the company - to make sure its up and running and doing what they should.
Other duties include:
* Provide day-to-day, hands-on technical support of Windows based production and development systems running on HP/IBM and other hardware platforms
* Install, configure, maintain Windows 2003 / 2008 Server and associated products
* Manage and support MS Exchange 2003/2007
* Manage and support Windows / SQL Clusters
* Manage and support Physical Servers (HP/IBM/Compaq servers), disk arrays, tape libraries
* Analyse system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions
* Perform and review technical system recovery plans
* Assess, install and maintain third-party tools
Looking for people with similar experience with the following:
* In-depth experience of working with Windows 2003 / 2008 Server and other Microsoft products - such as Exchange 2003/2007, Clusters, WSUS, IIS, SQLServer.
* Experience of any of the following is desirable - Citrix, load balancing, web technologies, optimisation techniques, Monitoring software
* Active Directory design, build and administration, Group policy
* ITIL Certified in Service Management (V2/V3) or at least ITIL aware
* DNS, TCIP, MPLS
* Software Deployment Tools (SMS)
* HP Proliant Hardware/IBM hardware configuration
* Installation, configuration, support and administration of Citrix, IIS 6.0 / 7.0
* Day to day support of VMware environments
* Experience of EVA SAN Infrastructure and ESX
