My client is a multinational, multi-discipline Information technology business, with expertise across technology development, manufacturing and consulting services. As part of a global operation, they are building a market leading public cloud offering. As part of the global development process they are looking for experienced systems engineers to build the foundations of that platform in conjunction with their teams across the US.
The role will cover a multitude of disciplines and tasks associated around designing, building, automation, configuration and maintenance of the core infrastructure for this innovative platform. As part of this role you will also participate in the design and implementation of system level and service level monitoring solutions. As well as building effective working relationships across the business, in order to understand the cross functional requirements and provide the relevant subject matter expertise to ensure those requirements are translated into this high profile public cloud offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer, you should have experience with Linux server infrastructures, including their installation and maintenance. You must have a strong familiarity with scripting language ideally Python, Ruby and Shell. You should have demonstrable experience with OpenSource automations systems - Chef or Puppet is ideal.
