Printer Field Engineer - canon/xerox/copiers/printers/hardware - London - 38k
My client a leading media company are seeking to recruit a Hardware engineer who specialises in large colour printers to join their team of 10 based in London. The role will be to carry out regular preventative maintenance on machines at client sites, respond to emergency call outs and to rectify technical problems within SLA, attend regular team meetings, in house training sessions and vendor training courses. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all relevant tools, electronic equipment, manuals, software and firmware issued to you by the company, observe and maintain all Health and Safety procedures
Looking for people with similar experience with the following:
* Previous experience in maintenance, troubleshooting colour Copiers/Printers - ideally Canon & Xerox, HP
* Excellent working knowledge of Canon print/copy devices, EFI colour management systems and networks. Knowledge of Xerox and HP print/copy devices is desirable but not essential.
Any Experience with these copiers preferable:
Canon Imagepress C1+, Canon CLC4040 / CLC5151, Canon Imagerunner Advance C5045, RIPS Server Q1, RIPs H1, Xerox ColorQube, Xerox DC252
* Knowledge of both PC and Mac computing systems and associated graphical art applications including quark, photoshop, illustrator, indesign - desirable
* Knowledge of current world and European colour standards and how to achieve them in a printing environment - ideally completed colour calibration test
* Background within field engineering.
* Have a good client facing background
* Keep parts spend within set guidelines
* Keep allocated machines to agreed levels of reliability
* Self motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
* Have a flexible approach to work as travel to clients all over London is a part of the position
* Excellent knowledge of analytical troubleshooting processes and procedures.
* Have excellent communication skills and be a team player
