Helpdesk/Desktop Support, 1st/2nd line - Windows 7, AD, DNS, Office, Exchange - London - 22k
My client an expanding global Media company are seeking to recruit an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join their team. Working as part of a team you will provide high level 1st/2nd with some 3rd line support - with opportunities to work on Infrastructure projects - This is part of a new project in upskilling their service desk and providing alot more technical support, rather than passing the call/fault straight to 3rd line.
Other duties include:
* To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues - within ITIL environment
* Support new and existing users in the use of the firm's IT system by providing necessary training and advice including induction training for new staff
* Support the windows infrasctructure including Windows, AD, Exchange, MS Office, Outlook etc
* To configure, deploy and maintain the firm's VOIP-based desktop telephones
* To configure and deploy desktop PCs, laptops and printers in line with the IT department's deployment process
Looking for candidates with similar experience with the following:
* Windows XP/VISTA/ Windows 7
* Windows Server 2003/2008
* DNS
* DHCP
* Exchange 2003
* Network Connectivity - TCP/IP
* Network Administration - Active Directory, including maintenance of Group Polices and scripts.
* Mobile Device support (including Smart phones and Iphone/Ipad support)
* Knowledge of ITIL/ITIL v3 Foundation
* Knowledge of PC technologies and desktop/server hardware and software
* Knowledge of VB Scripting - desirable
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent understanding of IT within a corporate environment , especially across a 1st and 2nd line support function
* SCCM - desirable
* Willingness and ability to help
* Excellent telephone manner
* Good communication skills
* Quick to learn
* Self Motivating
