We are looking to recruit a Solutions Engineer to act as a Pre-Sales Technical Support for Australia New Zealand. This is an opportunity to join a a global leader of IP infrastructure solutions.
Key Points of the Position The main focus in this role will be to act as a prime technical point of contact involved with any bid process - working closely with the sales teams in Australia and New Zealand in order to up-sell to existing accounts and target new business within the Service Provider market.
You will be required to liase with Customer’s Technical Engineers, Senior Architects, Data & VoIP Network Managers right through to CIOs and CTOs, understanding their Current Network, Business Drivers and IP traffic and policy management, security and VoIP/IMS strategy.
The role will involve answering RFIs, RFQs and responding to tenders,performing demonstrations of the companies solutions, to get involved in proof of concept trials, and you will have a major role in presenting the technical solution to our customers.
Technical Requirements A thorough understanding of Carrier IP Security and Networking technology specifically in the area of IP routing, SIP, MGCP, H.248 Megaco, H.323, XML, VOIP, xDSL and other wireline/wireless IP and VoIP Technologies.
Good knowledge of tier 1 and tier 2 mobile and fixed network service providers with relationships with decision makers is a key advantage.
The successful applicant will have: Hands-on experience with an SBC (Session Border Controller) or a VoIP applications server (Any vendor type).
You must have designed the architecture of or implemented a VoIP solution.
Performed live demonstrations to customers of an IP network application or solution.
Strong communication stills, and excellent presentation skills are essential.
